Toxicity is defined by genotoxicity tests, where compounds having adverse effects on the process of heredity are detected. In this particular endpoint, the in vivo micronucleus assay, a genotoxicity test method, is used to evaluate the presence/extent or absence of chromosomal damage in human beings.
