A Disintegrin And Metalloproteinase 10 (ADAM10) protein plays a role in the regulation of α-secretase and the cleavage of APP^1,². ADAM10 can also potentially affect pathology of AD via reducing tau pathology, regulating normal synaptic functions, and enhancing hippocampal neurogenesis and the homeostasis of neuronal networks³.
