ADAM10 (UniProt: O14672)
A Disintegrin And Metalloproteinase 10 (ADAM10) protein plays a role in the regulation of α-secretase and the cleavage of APP1,2. ADAM10 can also potentially affect pathology of AD via reducing tau pathology, regulating normal synaptic functions, and enhancing hippocampal neurogenesis and the homeostasis of neuronal networks3.
